justify;\">Positioning<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vehicle positioning acquisition after a predefined distance and\/or period of time, for example after reaching predefined geo-referenced points, when specific circumstances are verified or further to a request by the trackside system.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Telemetry and alarms<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Measuring and recording of on-board parameters through the device inputs. In the event of abnormal readings, the system can automatically send alarms to predefined recipients. If the vehicle is equipped with a CAN bus FMS interface, data regarding vehicle use can be acquired including fuel level readings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the FMS\/CAN interface is not available, the fuel level reading can be acquired through a fuel probe installed directly on-board the vehicle.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Data storage and periodic download<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Local storage of positioning, times, telemetric and all other data, according to a configurable logic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An extractable mass storage system on microSD is also included, on which data relative to on-board system functions can be recorded in the absence of GPRS coverage.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two-way communication<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The data acquired on-board is automatically radio-transmitted to the trackside system either periodically, after each event, or further to a request by the Operations Centre. If GPRS coverage is temporarily not available, the data will be stored on-board and downloaded when the vehicle returns to an area with GPRS coverage. Updates are also possible from the trackside system through the GPRS
