ST22/11 system

This device is designed to monitor the status, values and functions of power generators, light towers or tank levels using centralised software with an inbuilt database that continuously communicates with the devices through the GPRS/GSM mobile telephony system.

It also detects the machine’s position using the GPS system and can be configured to send the operator an SMS and email to promptly notify of any alarms or blockages.

Main functions

This is a versatile and flexible device able to communicate with machines in various ways through the following communication channels:

  • No. 1 USB port
  • No. 1 RS232 MODBUS RTU serial port
  • No. 1 RS485 MODBUS RTU serial port
  • No. 8 digital optically-isolated inputs
  • No. 2 digital relay outputs
  • No. 1 analogue input for fuel level 0÷5V
  • No. 1 accelerometer
  • No. 1 gyroscope

The system is also equipped with an internal rechargeable battery able to guarantee operational continuity, positioning and data transmission to the operations centre software for a number of weeks (depending on the frequency of updates) in the absence of the main power supply.

Thanks to its “open” properties, the device is able to communicate with any machine equipped with controllers supplied by leading worldwide manufacturers, including SICES, CATERPILLAR, COMAP, CUMMINS, DEIFF, DEEPSEA, ELCOS, IME, FRER and WOODWARD (for a more detailed list, see the product’s technical data sheet attached).

In the absence of compatibility with one of the controllers produced by the above-listed manufacturers, the device is nonetheless able to monitor and manage the following information and functions through its digital inputs and outputs:

  • Engine Running
  • Warning
  • Alarm/Shutdown
  • Emergency Stop
  • Low Fuel Level
  • Status1
  • Status2
  • Status3
  • Generic Status
  • Generic Warning
  • Generic Shutdown
  • Generic Deactivation
